Marketing Dashboards & Reporting NZ

Dashboards & reports that give the whole picture

Marketing dashboards pull your scattered numbers into one live view: GA4, Google Ads, Meta and Search Console, side by side, showing what you spent and what it returned. We build them in Data Studio for NZ businesses tired of logging into five platforms to answer one question. Live, shared and readable by humans.

Why most marketing reporting fails its reader

Marketing reporting usually fails in one of two ways. Either it's a monthly PDF of platform screenshots that arrives too late to act on, or it's a dashboard with forty charts that answers everything except the question that matters: is this working, and what did it cost?

The problem underneath is that every platform grades its own homework. Google Ads claims a sale, Meta claims the same sale, GA4 says something different again, and none of them volunteer the combined picture. Left separate, the numbers flatter each channel and mislead the person paying for all of them.

A good dashboard fixes both problems at once. It puts spend and revenue from every channel in one place, on one set of definitions, updating live. The morning question, how are we doing, gets a thirty-second answer instead of five logins and a spreadsheet.

One dependency worth naming: a dashboard is only as honest as the data feeding it. If the tracking underneath is broken, the dashboard just makes bad numbers look organised. That's why this service pairs with our GA4 and tracking setup work, and why we check the foundations before we build on them.

What we do

Our dashboard and reporting services

Dashboards are one half of our analytics offering, sitting on top of the measurement our GA4 and tracking setup service gets right. Every TooGood client gets a live dashboard as standard; this page is for businesses who want one regardless of who runs their marketing.

Marketing dashboard and reporting services
Data Studio & custom dashboards
Most dashboards we build in Data Studio, Google's free reporting tool, shared with a link so your team sees live numbers whenever they want, with no licence fees, no software to install and no waiting for month-end. Where you need something more bespoke, we also build custom dashboards with AI, shaped exactly around how you want to see your data.
All your sources, one view
GA4, Google Ads, Meta and Search Console connected into one report, with spend and results side by side. Blended totals show the whole business first, then let you drill into each channel honestly.
Reports around your questions
We design the dashboard around the decisions you actually make: revenue against spend for the owner, channel detail for whoever runs the marketing, and a page a board can read without a translator. Fewer charts, chosen deliberately.
Commentary & review
Numbers describe, they don't explain. Where you want interpretation, we add written commentary and a regular review call covering what moved, why and what we'd do about it. Reporting that ends in a decision, not a download.
We're TooGood

Why have TooGood build your reporting?

Dashboards are easy to make and easy to make meaningless. The difference:

01
Measurable, performance-based reporting.

The whole point of the dashboard is to prove what your marketing returned in real sales and leads, attributed to the channels that earned them. Blended truth over platform-claimed vanity metrics.

02
Doing the right thing is our founding kaupapa.

Honesty is built into the dashboard, not bolted on. Underperformance shows up in plain sight, platform claims get reconciled against reality, and nothing is cherry-picked. Transparency for you, and for the world.

03
No fixed-term contracts. Ever.

The dashboard lives in your accounts, documented, and keeps working if we ever part ways. We don't lock clients in with contracts or hostage reporting. The work does that for us.

04
We'll be there when you need us.

Regular catch-ups, a live dashboard you can open any time, and open communication mean the numbers are never a mystery you wait a month to see.

The reporting stack we work in

Data Studio is the centre: free, live and shareable, with native connections to GA4, Google Ads and Search Console. Meta and other sources connect through established connector tools where they're needed. When a client wants something more tailored, we also build custom dashboards with AI.

Where a business has grown past connector territory into warehouses and custom pipelines, that's genuine data engineering. We'll say so plainly and help you scope it, rather than stretching a reporting tool past what it honestly does.

How our dashboard builds work

01
Questions first

We start with what you need to know and who needs to know it. The owner, the marketer and the board read differently, and the dashboard is designed around those readers.

02
Data check

We verify the sources before connecting them: GA4 configuration, conversion definitions and ad platform tracking. Broken inputs get flagged and fixed before they get visualised.

03
Build & refine

The dashboard gets built, then walked through with you and sharpened. The first version always surfaces new questions; the second version answers them.

04
Keep it useful

Platforms change and businesses change focus. We keep the dashboard maintained and the definitions current, and where you want it, we add monthly commentary and a review call.

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about marketing dashboards, Data Studio and honest reporting.

A marketing dashboard is a live report that pulls your marketing data into one view: what you spent, what you earned and how the channels compare, drawing from sources like GA4, Google Ads, Meta and Search Console. Instead of logging into each platform and reconciling numbers by hand, you open one link and see the current picture. Built well, it becomes the shared version of truth your decisions run on.
Typically not, because it's already included. A custom-built dashboard, tailored to your business, comes as standard with any of our ads management retainers, so every ongoing client gets one without paying separately for it. We'll change it any time to keep it aligned with your goals as they shift. This page is really for businesses who want a dashboard regardless of who runs their marketing.
Data Studio is Google's free reporting and visualisation tool. It connects directly to GA4, Google Ads and Search Console, and to most other marketing platforms through connector tools. Reports are live and shared by link, so there's nothing to install and no per-seat licence. For NZ businesses wanting marketing visibility without BI-platform costs, it's comfortably the sensible default.
A focused build, connecting your core platforms into one well-designed report, is a fixed-price project that most businesses recover quickly in reporting time alone. Cost scales with the number of sources and the complexity of what you need answered. Ongoing maintenance and commentary are optional add-ons, and Data Studio itself is free, so there are no licence fees hiding underneath.
Because each one counts differently and generously. Google Ads and Meta both claim conversions using their own attribution windows, sometimes claiming the same sale, while GA4 applies a different model again. None of them are lying exactly; they're grading their own homework. A blended dashboard puts total spend against total revenue first, which is the number that can't flatter anyone, then shows platform detail in context.
Often, yes. If your CRM exports cleanly or connects through an established connector, lead quality and sales outcomes can sit alongside the marketing numbers, which is where reporting gets genuinely useful for lead-gen businesses. Where it can't connect reliably, we'll say so honestly rather than building something fragile that breaks the first time an export changes.
GA4 is a data source, not a report. It holds the answers but makes you dig for them, its interface intimidates most non-analysts, and it says nothing about what you spent on Meta or how channels compare. A dashboard does the digging once, permanently: the ten numbers you actually check, arranged to be read in thirty seconds by someone who has never opened GA4. If the tracking underneath needs work first, our GA4 setup service handles that.
