Why I started TooGood
11 years ago I started at one of New Zealand's largest digital marketing agencies. Three months in, I was thrown onto the country's biggest Google Ads accounts. Mitre 10, Westpac, Lego, Audi, and about 15 others. I never spoke to the clients. The account managers did the talking.
Three years later, an elderly woman who ran a pet food store asked me whether she should keep spending money on digital marketing. I couldn't say no. My job wasn't to lose clients. I couldn't say yes either. She wasn't making money.
I started TooGood to do things differently.
There are no account managers at TooGood. When you email us, the person who replies is the technical expert. Our clients always work directly with the person doing the work, and that person always knows exactly what they're doing. If we're being paid, we're doing the hours.
If we can't make you money, we'll say so. The pet food store owner deserved a real answer. So do you.
But most importantly: the truth comes before our bottom line.

Zac Taewa
A performance marketer obsessed with ROI. Over 10 years running Google Ads and paid media for some of New Zealand's most recognised brands, including The Warehouse Group, ASB, Westpac, Summerset, Jumpflex, LEGO, and Audi. Zac combines big-agency experience from his time at FCB with in-house expertise leading the Google Ads team at TheMarket, with deep expertise across ecommerce and lead generation in more industries than are worth listing.
Spends his weekends falling off plastic rocks on purpose.

Emily Griffiths
With a masters in physiology and over 5 years in healthcare and clinical trials, Emily's career took a sharp turn in the opposite direction. She now has 3 years' experience in Google Ads and paid media, with a particular passion for ROI-driven healthcare clients: physiotherapists, dentists, clinics, and the kind of practices where the details really matter and the marketing has to be done right.
The clinical research background gives her an edge most paid marketers don't have. Emily treats every campaign like a study, with clear hypotheses, clean data, and decisions made on evidence rather than instinct.
